About Karafotias Realty

Our company was started by Amelia Karafotias in 1979, and has been a family-owned and operated business ever since. Buying or selling a home is a deeply personal decision, so our founder created a boutique brokerage where clients are family and agents are trusted advisers.

We are a proud member of the National Association of Realtors, Georgia Association of Realtors, DeKalb Association of Realtors, Georgia Multiple Listing Service, and First Multiple Listing Service.

Communities we represent

DeKalb County is home to many premier communities ideal for growing families. With its fair home values and ideal location, the area has become of of the hottest real estate markets in Atlanta. Currently, we specialize in these three neighborhoods:

This neighborhood has been described as a grand city on a charming scale. One the one hand, it has a booming business district, award-winning schools, great hospitals, and big multinational companies.

On the other, it has no less than three historic districts, the state-of-the-art Alabama Center for the Arts, and outdoor attractions such as the Tennessee River and Point Millard Park. Fortunately, there are still houses for sale in Decatur, GA, including those in coveted communities such as Fairview and Russel Village. Whether you want the convenience of the city or the tranquility of a suburb, you’ll find both here.

Druid Hills
When Joel Hurt first developed Druid Hills in the late 19th century, his vision was to create a “perfect suburb” — and we’d say he’s achieved it. Often called Atlanta’s “Second Suburb,” Druid Hills is one of the area’s most affluent neighborhoods.

Fittingly, it boasts of large parks, renowned schools, plenty of cultural attractions, and various recreational facilities. Its biggest employer is Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Is it any wonder why so many people search for Druid Hills homes for sale?

Revered author Tom Wolfe had a fondness for Buckhead, and it’s not hard to see why. Investing in homes for sale in Buckhead, GA means being in good company, as it’s been voted as one of the Robb Report’s “Top 10 Most Affluent Communities.”

Each of the 40 or so neighborhoods in the area boasts of their own architectural style; whatever your tastes are, you’re bound to find the perfect community here. Buckhead is also considered to be the shopping Mecca of the Southeast, thanks to the over 1,400 retail stores found here.

We can’t wait to help you buy or sell your Atlanta home. Just give us a call at 404.321.0030 or send an e-mail to karafotiasrealty(at)karafotiasrealty(dotted)com.
